Episode 3- Endometriosis FT Harriet Jones

My guest for episode 3 was Masters student, blogger and activist Harriet Jones. She runs the blog ‘A pain in the pelvis’ where she talks about life with endometriosis as well as why it's important to be inclusive when we discuss matters of the womb. We also talk about the symptoms and temporary ways of managing them.

Harriet is a passionate advocate for more awareness about endometriosis outside of it being a disease that affects fertility. She speaks with me very candidly about how, as her endo has developed, it has dramatically impacted her life.

She tells about the mental as well as physical effect it has had on her. She also explains why it can be such a struggle geographically to get effective treatment.

Despite all of these factors impacting her eventual treatment,Harriet considers her experience as privileged as she highlights that as a white cis woman she was more likely

to get this outcome than other people.
